Transglobe: Out of Harm's Way

J. FREDERICK KOZAK, Canaccord Genuity (02/04/2011)
"Despite the current unrest in Egypt, we reiterate our BUY rating and CAD$19.00 target. TransGlobe continues to delineate a developing oil discovery in the Nukhul Formation on the company's West Gharib Concession located in eastern Egypt. In 2011, three rigs have been contracted to drill 44 Nukhul Formation wells on the concession. . .Since the company's Q410 mid-quarter update released on December 13, four wells have been drilled, resulting in two oil wells (Arta 25 and East Arta 11), one potential oil well (South Rahmi 8) and one dry well (East Arta 10). Flow test results are expected near term. . .Production continues to increase toward our 2011E exit rate of just over 15,000 bbl/d, with record monthly production of 11,228 bbl/d realized in December and 11,300 bbl/d in the last week of January. With civil unrest currently confined to Egypt's major cities, production remains unaffected."
