"The company's focus is on well delineated, low geological risk reserves with a large development drilling inventory. An investment in Novus Energy provides shareholders with exposure to the Viking and Bakken light oil resource plays in Saskatchewan and Cardium light oil and Dunvegan gas potential in Alberta.

This morning Novus provided an operational update and announced that it had reached its 2010 exit guidance of 2,000 BOE/d. . .Novus achieved its 2010 exit guidance, with production volumes reaching 2,050 BOE/d (34% gas) by year-end. Novus achieved a 100% success rate with its Dodsland Viking light oil drilling campaign in 2010. . .The company has achieved significant production growth in 2010 from the Dodsland Viking light oil play, increasing production from 30 B/d to 1,095 B/d by year-end. The company has amassed more than 110 net sections of land prospective for Viking light oil with more than 575 potential horizontal drilling locations identified based on 8 well-per-section spacing. Novus is well positioned to drive continued growth through 2011 in the highly economic Dodsland Viking light oil play. . .The company anticipates releasing details of the 2011 capital and operational program in early February. We reiterate our Buy recommendation."
