Further Fracking Results Well Worth the Wait

"Last night, TransAtlantic Petroleum (TAT; $3.24; BUY) announced that production from the Selmo oil field for the first week of 2011 was approximately 2,400 bbls/d. . .Production was above our more conservative expected exit rate for 2010 of 2,200 bbls/d. Thus, we are not making any changes to our projections. . .Further, the S-57 well was fracked with good results (300 b/d, 50% water cut). . .In the Thrace Basin, TAT continues to wait for coiled tubing units to be made available to them for the Kepirtepe-1 and Habiller-2R wells, which have already been fracked. . .We continue to anxiously await further results from the wells.

TAT also announced that it has completed its first oil sale in Morocco from the Hr-33bis well. The Hr- 33bis well is located on TAT's Tselfat license, in which it has a 100% ownership. We view this as a positive for TAT and await more information on the results from the HKE-1 well, which is currently being completed."
