RSC's Matoush Project

HRA Journal (11/12/2010)
"Strateco Resources released initial results from a new discovery on its Matoush uranium project in Quebec. It's been a while since we commented on RSC, so we will quickly note that we like its existing 20 Mlb. U3O8 resource and have been waiting for either completion of its protracted underground permitting process or an on-trend discovery of this sort to comment further on it. This lens, called MT-38, is 1.5 km. along trend south from its existing resource area. The discovery hole for this lens returned 0.48% U3O8 over 4.2m that includes 1.29% U3O8 over 1.3m. A second hole has returned 0.33% U3O8 over 5.1m that includes 2.23% U3O8 over 0.7m, and several other nearby holes cut lower-grade mineralization. This comes from a program of regular testing along 8 km. of the Matoush structure that RSC indicates has located five new areas of potential, which is a part of Strateco's attempt to triple the project's resource base. As we have noted in the past this project has the potential to open a new uranium district, and is in a geological setting that should allow for fairly straightforward underground mining, if successful. Now that the broader testing has located some focus areas, results may be coming more quickly."
