TGL's Arta Nukhul program

DAVID POPOWICH, Macquarie Research (06/29/2010)
"TransGlobe released initial flow rates from its Arta-12 horizontal well in Egypt. The well has only been onstream for one week, but is producing 300–400bbl/d of oil on pump while it continues to recover frack fluid. Pump rates will be optimized over the month of July, at which time we should have a better idea of the true productive capacity of this well; at this point, we cannot be sure if the initial flow rate even reflects production contribution from all four frack stages.

. . .TransGlobe continues to shoot the lights out with its Nukhul delineation-drilling program at Arta. The company recently increased its PIIP estimate for the Arta Nukhul pool to 36mmb (up 8mmb), which includes step-out drilling at East Arta-2 and Arta-14. A new productive zone in the lower Nukhul is also positive, although the areal extent of this zone remains to be seen.

TransGlobe has already delivered strong reserve additions from its Arta delineation-drilling program in 2010, on top of our core NAV of C$6.51/sh. We still like the stock at these levels, especially with East Arta exploration drilling currently in progress."
