TGL: Arta Field Frac Program Success Continues

J. FREDERICK KOZAK, Canaccord Genuity (03/24/2010)
"On March 24, TransGlobe provided an update regarding its ongoing operations on its Egyptian acreage and included fracture stimulation results from its Arta wells in addition to Hoshia and East Ghazalat drilling results.

With the company's active Egyptian-drilling program, TransGlobe's production guidance of 10,000–10,500 bbl/d may be conservative. However, our estimates remain unchanged until we have further production history from the Arta fractured wells plus the new discovery at East Ghazalat.

The next catalyst will be drilling of the Sahab#1 well on the company's East Ghazalat Concession in western Egypt in addition to longer-term testing results from the recently drilled Safwa#1 well on the same concession. Furthermore, results from the fracture stimulation of the Arta#12 and Arta#6 wells should be announced in late April/early May, and is in addition to an active drilling program in the West Gharib Concession, which should provide a near-constant flow of results through the year."
