"The company announced drill results from their Carlin project and the news was mixed. The company hit gold, but even in a big thick intercept was a bit low-grade for the market. The stock price was not influenced much in either direction on the news. Overall this was disappointing for a company that now has over 126 million shares outstanding. Drilling continues and more results will be forthcoming in the coming months. EVG will continue to be a HOLD for now. If you are looking to raise some cash, this is one I would look to do so with 25% to 50% of your position."

Evolving management said Goldcorp will participate in a private placement and purchase 19,047,721 common shares of EVG at a price of $0.82/share, for proceeds of $15,619,131.22. Proceeds from the private placement are to be used to explore EVG's major exploration properties—Rattlesnake Hills, the Carlin and Humboldt projects."

"Well, as I've said before, Evolving Gold Corp. is the most perplexing junior I've ever dealt with. Failure is the norm in the junior resource business; for each company that finds a significant deposit and is able to develop or sell it for a handsome profit, nine others don't. So it's impressive enough when a junior finds one world-class potential deposit. Evolving Gold has managed to find two. Yet the stock has been hammered and beaten up. The company has not done a great job on the corporate communication side in recent months, and it's depressed the price of the stock to a level that doesn't represent the real potential of these two projects. Either could be world-class and as things look now, both are still moving towards that. Given my prejudices and the fact that 99% of Evolving Gold's peer group would kill to have just one of those projects, I deemed it an extremely undervalued situation and personally bought 1.3 million shares."

"Evolving Gold has seen a turnaround in its fortunes and a 30%+ increase in its share price since the beginning of April. There have been several management changes, including the addition of R. Stuart ('Tookie') Angus as chairman. Angus is a well-known figure in the local exploration scene who has been associated with a number of large wins. EVG also announced it has greatly increased the size of its property package in the Carlin trend in Nevada. Drilling continues at Carlin with two rigs drilling vertical holes to bracket the discovery hole announced earlier this year. . .Nevada ounces tend to be 'more equal than others.' Confirmation of the deeper high-grade zones would be welcomed by the market. This month should also see the release of the initial 43-101 report for the Rattlesnake Hills project. This, too, might be part of the reason for recent buying, though we are more cautious on that. . .we think the real short-term potential for gains will come from Carlin."
