Expert Analysis

Geordie Mark, Haywood Securities (1/19/12) "Uranerz Energy Corp. provided an update on the progress of well-field installation work at Production Area 1 at its Nichols Ranch ISR Uranium project in Campbell County, Wyoming. The company has six rigs on site drilling production and injection wells, and as of last week, had completed 34 production well casings since Dec. 5. . .in late August, Uranerz announced that construction had commenced at the Nichols Ranch ISR uranium project. . .given the progress to date and an estimated cash position of $33 million, we believe that Uranerz is fully financed to production."

The Energy Report Interview with David Talbot (12/13/11) "We have a Buy on Uranerz Energy Corp. with a $5-target price. This company is on the verge of becoming the next uranium producer in the U.S., and as of last week is now one step closer to realization with the signing of a uranium processing agreement with Cameco, which operates three ISR mines in the U.S., including two that are in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming near Uranerz. This agreement will allow Uranerz to deliver uranium-loaded resin from its Nichols Ranch area projects to Cameco's Smith Ranch-Highland uranium facilities for final elution and drying into yellowcake. Now what this should do for Uranerz is eliminate some of the growing pains that typically come with ISR plant commissioning. It also should benefit from years of Cameco's experience in operating in this area, essentially by tying its initial production into existing operations." More >

Matthew Smith, Seeking Alpha (12/13/11) "Uranerz Energy Corp. has a stock with a low float, what appears to be enough cash to get to production and is a few months ahead of its competitors to production in Wyoming. . .the company plans to use the same blueprint for production as Uranium Energy Corp., utilizing in-situ recovery mining at various locations to feed a centralized location; this does allow it to actually mine those lower-margin plays, as it does not have to build an entire facility at each site."

David Talbot, Dundee Securities (12/2/11) "Uranerz Energy Corp. is on the verge of becoming the next uranium producer in the U.S.; that goal came one step closer to realization on Nov. 30, 2011, with the signing of a uranium processing agreement with Cameco Corp., operator of three in-situ recovery (ISR) mines in the U.S. . .the company should eliminate some of the growing pains than typically comes with ISR plant commissioning: It should benefit from Cameco's years of operational experience by tying its initial production into existing operations. . .and while Cameco has no equity interest in Uranerz, this may signal it as a takeover target."

Morning Coffee (12/1/11) "Uranerz Energy Corp. has signed a processing agreement with Cameco: Under the agreement, Uranerz will deliver uranium-loaded resin produced from the company's Nichols Ranch in-situ recovery (ISR) mining operations in Wyoming to Cameco's Smith Ranch Highland uranium mine for final processing into dried uranium concentrate packaged for shipping to a converter. . .as a result of this agreement, Uranerz will only install the ion-exchange circuit and the well-field makeup circuit at this time at the Nichols Ranch central processing plant, thus reducing capital costs. The Nichols Ranch ISR uranium project is licensed for a production level of up to 2 Mlb uranium per year with initial production targeted for 600–800 Klb per year after ramp up."
