An upstream oil and gas producer has acquired a 100% working interest in a 550 boe/d producing property at Thorsby, Central Alberta, for US$8.9 million.

On August 14, 2026, Stephane Foucaud of Auctus Advisors LLP raised his price target on Arrow Exploration Corp. (AXL:TSX.V; AXL:LSE) to £0.60 per share from £0.55, implying a 107% total return from the August 14, 2026, share price of £0.29, following the company's acquisition of a producing oil-and-gas property in Central Alberta that adds a liquids-weighted Canadian growth platform alongside its existing asset base.

Thorsby Acquisition

Arrow has acquired a 100% working interest in a 550 boe/d oil-and-gas producing property at Thorsby, Central Alberta, from a private-equity seller for US$8.9 million. The asset holds approximately 5 million boe of 1P reserves, approximately 7.5 million boe of 2P reserves, and the transaction also includes 9,501 net acres of prospective land. While current production is 27% liquids, the 1P and 2P reserves are 55% oil and liquids, pointing to a more liquids-weighted production profile over time.

Although the sale process was competitive, Foucaud believes "few bidders were interested in an asset of this modest size." Arrow's CA$90 million of Canadian tax losses significantly enhance the value of the acquisition to the company. The property generated approximately CA$2 million of operating income in 2026, and an independent reserves auditor valued the 2P reserves at US$51 million on an NPV10, pre-tax basis — 5.5 times the price paid.

Development Plan and Reservoir

Depending on commodity prices, Arrow could develop the reserves through 22 low-cost, quick-payout drilling locations that have already been identified, potentially lifting production to 2.5–3.0 mboe/d by 2029 with a rising liquids component. New wells cost approximately US$2 million each, implying a US$44 million full development program, and that production level could be sustained through 2032. Auctus assumes the first three-well pad comes onstream in late 1Q27.

The field will be developed using horizontal drilling. Calima Energy, a previous owner of the asset, estimated an EUR of approximately 0.365 million boe per well, with initial liquids production of approximately 240 bbl/d on an IP90 (liquids only) basis. Oil produced at Thorsby has an API of 15°, with production coming from the Sparky reservoir at approximately 1,350 m depth. Sparky sands can reach 20 m in thickness in some cases, with porosity of up to 15% and 10 mD permeability. The royalty rate for the property is 19%, per Calima Energy.

Strategic Fit

Foucaud wrote that the acquisition "plays on the strength of the management team," which has experience with similar properties in this area of Canada. He also noted that Thorsby is at a similar stage of development to the Tapir block at the time Arrow acquired it.

Financial Forecasts

Auctus models total production rising to 5,101 boe/d in 2026 and 6,095 boe/d in 2027, from 4,012 boe/d in 2025, with liquids climbing to 4,946 bbl/d and 5,463 bbl/d, respectively. Cash flow from operations is forecast at US$57 million in 2026 and US$50 million in 2027, against net capex of US$47 million and US$37 million, on Brent assumptions of US$76.52/bbl and US$71.23/bbl. Diluted CFPS is estimated at US$0.18 in 2026 and US$0.16 in 2027, with diluted EPS of US$0.09 and US$0.06. Arrow is expected to remain in a net cash position, forecast at US$18 million at end-2026 and US$32 million at end-2027, on a market capitalization of US$115 million.

Valuation

Core NAV is unchanged at £0.52 per share, with a ReNAV of £0.59 per share and an unrisked NAV of £2.04 per share. Within the NAV, the combined Fir and Thorsby Canadian position is valued at US$29 million, or £0.07 per share, while Tapir 2P in the Llanos accounts for US$131 million, or £0.33 per share. The shares trade at 50% of Core NAV, 44% of NAV, and 13% of unrisked NAV.

Risks and Outlook

Development of the 22 identified locations is contingent on commodity prices, and the acquired production is currently gas-weighted, with the liquids-weighted profile dependent on future drilling. Auctus continues to view securing the Tapir block extension as a potential re-rating event for the shares. Auctus discloses that Arrow is a corporate client and that the note is a marketing communication rather than independent research.
