Addressing the session of the Integrated Energy Market subcommittee of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) on Thursday, Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard said an integrated Asian market would meet the interests of West Asian energy producers and East Asian consumers.
He added that Asia was the biggest producer and consumer of energy in the world and its global position should match up to its energy capacities, IRNA reported. Other participants emphasized on regional nations' legal right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
