Fission Energy is a Canadian-based uranium exploration and development company with properties in Quebec, Peru's Macusani District and Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin, where it's assembled an exceptional exploration property portfolio in one of the world's richest uranium deposits. Basin projects include the Waterbury Lake KEPCO Consortium JV and promising exploration projects at Patterson, Davy and Duddridge Lakes and the North Shore. In Quebec, Fission holds 100% of the Dieter Lake Property, which has an NI 43-101 inferred resource of 24 Mlb.

Expert Analysis

The Energy Report Interview with Rob Chang (5/8/12) "I really like Fission Energy. This is in the Athabasca Basin, located right next door to Hathor Exploration, which is now Rio Tinto's Roughrider deposit. In fact, the western extension of the Roughrider deposit actually goes over the border into Fission's territory. If Rio Tinto was to ever develop this, it would make a lot of sense to develop that little nub that goes over the border. There's no reason for Rio Tinto to stop right at the property line. A few meters to the west of that is Fission Energy's J Zone deposit, which has an initial NI 43-101-compliant resource of 9 Mlb that it announced earlier this year. It would make a lot of sense for anyone, like Rio Tinto, wanting to consolidate the region, to buy Fission Energy next door as well as Denison's and AREVA's assets. Within a 5 kilometer (km) area, there is already more than 110 Mlb of uranium. So it would make a lot of sense for one company just to consolidate the whole region. . .I haven't seen many scenarios where an acquiring company buys Company A and immediately turns around and buys Company B. They generally take some time in between to digest the acquisition or do more work. So, if anything, now would probably be a better time to buy Fission." More >

Morning Coffee (4/26/12) "Fission Energy Corp. and its 50% joint venture partner ESO Uranium reported that significant anomalous radioactivity has been encountered in drill hole PLS12-016, the final hole of this winter's Patterson Lake South property. . .management highlighted that the results from the most recent holes show anomalous radiometric anomalies with associated alteration along 823m of strike on the same electromagnetic conductor. These anomalies present a very significant and encouraging target for follow-up drilling to be carried out by a planned summer drill program."

David Talbot, Dundee Securities (4/23/12) "For $5.8M in stock, Fission Energy Corp. acquires $1.5M in cash, a Namibian joint venture with Rio Tinto for hard rock Alaskite-type deposits worth about $5M in the ground and essentially all of Pitchstone Exploration's prospective exploration properties in the Athabasca for free. . .Fission has a fairly strong pipeline of projects—spearheaded by its Waterbury joint venture and the high-grade 9 Mlb J-Zone discovery. It is likely the value the company gets from this project allows it to make other opportunistic deals. . .Fission shareholders get access to a significant amount of prime real estate in the Athabasca Basin."

Canaccord Wealth Stocktalk Interview with Thomas Drolet (4/11/12) "In Canada's prolific Athabasca region. . .we have Fission Energy Corp., which is very close to where the Hathor find was. It has a very good management team and some quite good early drilling results."

The Energy Report Interview with Thomas Drolet (3/22/12) "Fission Energy Corp. has an excellent land package up in the central core of the Athabasca basin. . .KEPCO has joined up with Fission Energy and its strong management team. Certainly Fission Energy is getting along on its drill program much faster and further than many other juniors. Some of the results it is coming up with are of quite high-grade quality. . .given its proximity [to Hathor's deposit], Fission could have some of the same potential as did Hathor in these areas."
